Ownership and responsibility

SVG Vector Lab is an independently maintained, open-source project operated through the public SVG Vector Lab repository. The project operator is responsible for the editor, guides, corrections, privacy disclosures, and advertising decisions. Contact information is available on the Contact page.

What we publish

Guides are selected when a topic directly supports an SVG editing, geometry, accessibility, optimization, or troubleshooting task. Each page is intended to answer a distinct reader problem and, where useful, connect that explanation to an interactive editor or calculator. We do not publish lightly altered pages solely to target wording variations.

Only finished reader-facing content is published. Examples and recommendations must be relevant to the visible topic and written in original language.

Research and technical review

Technical claims are checked against primary sources such as applicable web standards, browser documentation, and observed browser behavior. Sources are selected for relevance and authority. Examples are reviewed for valid syntax and for consistency with the explanation they support.

SVG behavior can vary with browser versions, embedding context, CSS, fonts, filters, and external resources. A guide may therefore describe a general rule while directing readers to test the final file in its intended environment.

Dates, updates, and corrections

Guide pages display a publication date and, when materially revised, an updated date. A material update may correct an error, add an important limitation, account for a standards or browser change, or substantially improve the procedure.

Correction requests may be sent to contact@svgvectorlab.com. Please identify the page, the disputed statement, and a supporting source or reproducible example. Confirmed errors are corrected as soon as reasonably practicable.

Advertising and editorial independence

Advertising may appear on eligible guide pages and is clearly identified. Advertising does not determine a guide's conclusion, and an advertisement does not constitute an endorsement. The interactive editor and calculators are kept free of ad units near active controls.

If sponsored material is published in the future, the commercial relationship will be disclosed prominently on that page. SVG Vector Lab does not currently publish paid reviews or affiliate recommendations.

Use of the guidance

The guides provide general technical information, not individualized legal, security, accessibility, or professional advice. Readers remain responsible for validating files, testing target environments, preserving backups, and meeting the requirements that apply to their own products and users.
